ATV Mania

Description

ATV Mania for the PlayStation (PS1) is an arcade-style all-terrain vehicle racing game with combat elements. Players compete in an underground championship featuring six riders on rugged alpine tracks, using weapons and vehicle tactics to outpace rivals. The title released in North America on July 23, 2003, and in Europe on August 8, 2003.

Racing emphasizes fast, edge-of-your-seat action as players maneuver quad bikes around six tracks against five opponents. Each racer fields a distinct ATV with different performance ratings, affecting speed, grip, and armor. The game includes a variety of weapons, such as grenades, land mines, and homing missiles, which players can deploy to gain advantage. Between races, players encounter interview-style interactions that can yield extra cash used to buy weapon ammo.

Modes include Championship, Single Race, and Time Attack. Championship is the main mode, pitting players against a field of computer-controlled rivals across six tracks in an underground circuit.

On the PS1, ATV Mania showcases the era's characteristic 3D visuals and fast-paced, action-focused racing.

This title is well-suited for collectors and retro gaming enthusiasts who enjoy arcade-style racing with weapons-based competition and straightforward, pick-up-and-play gameplay on classic PlayStation hardware.
