Description

Demon Sword is a single-player action-platform game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Developed by TOSE and published by Taito, the title sends players through three worlds that each contain two stages, culminating in a final seventh stage. The core objective is to recover the missing pieces of a legendary blade and restore its power to defeat the Dark Fiend.

Gameplay centers on fast-paced, side-scrolling action with simple controls and precise platforming. You guide a warrior through stages, combat enemies, and face a boss at the end of each stage. Defeating a boss recovers a piece of the sword; as you collect more pieces, the blade grows longer, expanding reach and improving combat options. Helpful items such as keys, life spheres, and additional weapons appear throughout stages to support progress.
