Summoner

Description

Summoner for PlayStation 2 is an action role-playing game that blends real-time combat with a ring-based summoning system and party management. As a launch title for the platform, it showcased an ambitious blend of action and strategy within a traditional fantasy world.

Gameplay centers on a hybrid combat system that merges real-time action with tactical, turn-based elements. Players summon creatures via rings and lead a small lineup of allies through quests and battles across a connected world map, balancing spellcasting, melee, and monster control.

The game offers a single-player campaign with AI companions you recruit along the journey, and it also includes a multiplayer option for additional challenges. The structure emphasizes coherent progression through hunts, dungeon encounters, and boss battles.

Controls are designed around a standard console controller, with the familiar layout supporting quick actions, summons, and commands during combat.

Ideal for collectors and fans of classic action RPGs who enjoy ring-based summoning and strategic party management, this title provides a polished slice of early-2000s adventure in a traditional fantasy setting.
