Action Man Operation EXtreme

Description

Action Man: Operation Extreme is a single-player action title released for the PlayStation (PS1) and PC in 2000. Developed by Blitz Games and published by Hasbro Interactive, it blends vehicle-based sequences with on-foot third-person action as Action Man pursues Doctor X through varied environments. In some regions the title was released as Action Man: Mission Xtreme, reflecting its cross-market branding.

The game features two distinct gameplay modes that you switch between during play. Vehicle levels present a top-down, isometric-style perspective where you drive and battle enemy vehicles using cars, motorcycles, boats, and planes. When on foot, the action shifts to a third-person perspective behind Action Man, often with puzzle elements to reach the next area.

The campaign spans roughly 26 missions, taking Action Man from scorching deserts to the Arctic North Pole as he fights robot foes and other hazards. Objectives center on pursuing enemies, disabling threats, and rescuing or retrieving crucial assets in varied environments.

This title is documented as Single-Player only and originally released on the PS1 and PC, reflecting the era's disc-based gameplay and early 3D graphics typical of the PlayStation lineup. The dual-venue structure and licensed toy-line branding make it a notable piece for collectors of late-2000-era action titles.

Fans of licensed action games and vintage PS1-era experiences will likely appreciate Action Man: Operation Extreme for its mix of arcade-style vehicle missions and on-foot sequences, offering a tangible snapshot of licensed action-adventure games from that period.
