Eye Toy Operation Spy

Description

EyeToy: Operation Spy for the PlayStation 2 is a motion-based collection of spy-themed mini-games that uses the EyeToy camera to detect player movements. The core idea is to translate real-world gestures into on-screen actions, delivering a hands-on challenge built around espionage-themed tasks.

The game presents two primary experiences: Gameplay mode, where you tackle spy-style challenges, and Surveillance mode, which turns the EyeToy into a monitoring system for room-wide scenarios.

In Gameplay mode, you perform a sequence of physical actions across eight minigames: Sky Diving, Code Breaking, Photo Fit, World Map, Nanobot, Nanotech, Geosphere, and Laser Lock, each designed to be completed with distinct gestures and precise timing.

Surveillance mode lets you set up a room-monitoring routine that records intruders and can trigger a pre-recorded warning on screen; recorded footage can be saved to memory cards for later review and can be printed as still images when a USB printer is connected.

This title relies on the EyeToy camera as the primary input and is designed for solo play, emphasizing quick, self-contained challenges rather than a long, branching campaign.

Who it’s for: Collectors and retro gaming enthusiasts who enjoy concise, motion-controlled mini-games with a spy theme, and fans of the EyeToy hardware looking to revisit early motion-based play on disc.
