Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III The Manhattan Project for the Nintendo NES is a side-scrolling arcade-style action-platformer in which players take control of one of the four turtles through a sequence of urban stages. The core gameplay centers on fast-paced combat, precise jumping, and boss encounters as you navigate through the cityscape.

Controls are streamlined for pick-up play: a single attack button and a jump button handle most actions. The turtles can perform a toss attack by holding the D-pad downward while pressing B, and each character has a unique special move activated by pressing B and A together. When playing alone or with a partner, you can switch to a different turtle after losing a life to keep the run going.
