Toy Story Racer is a kart racing game for the PlayStation. Based on the Toy Story universe, it offers arcade-style racing with a roster of 12 playable characters, eight of which unlock by earning plastic soldiers, and a selection of 18 tracks. Players progress by collecting soldiers as they compete in races, unlocking additional characters as they go.

Players control toy-themed vehicles around colorful tracks, using power-ups found in item crates to accelerate, defend, or disrupt rivals. The gameplay emphasizes quick reflexes and straightforward driving, with a variety of race formats that keep sessions dynamic. Notable items include a spinning top, a rocket, electroshock, and a speed booster, all designed to add chaos and strategic choice to each race.
